What Is A Content Management System?

There are currently 2600+ WordPress themes and 31,000+ plugins available for free. You can download, install and use them on any website. One of the best places to find free WordPress plugins is at WP-wp-plugins.net.
There are also thousands of free WordPress templates available. Many of them can be found at the WordPress.org site under Themes. There are themes that are 2 columns, 3 columns, that accept widgets which make it very easy to modify the look of your website.
A Word About WordPress Themes
As I mentioned above there are thousands of free themes, and they come in a variety of styles and colors. When I first started using WordPress in 2010, I had a WordPress coach, and she introduced me to a free theme that she absolutely loved. In her coaching program, she taught me how to use this theme. Another coaching program I belonged to introduced me to another theme, and they showed me how to use it. Yes, they were free themes, however a paid a pretty penny to learn how to use them, and that is the thing about FREE WordPress themes, there is a learning curve. And the truth is many of the free themes don’t come with great tutorials on how to use them. Most Free themes are free, but to get ALL of the options, support and all the tools you need to make it work like you want to you usually have to pay for it.
I have wasted so much time trying to get a Free theme to do what I wanted it to do. That is not free, doesn’t your time cost anything? Mine does. After about a year of using the Free themes I was taught by my coach to use, I updated all of my websites to Elegant Press themes, which served me well for another year.
As a designer, I longed for more, and in the end, I started using the Genesis Frame work and fell in love with all of their themes at StudioPress.com.
